Seven Seasons and Still Growing. . .
When those late spring rains came and kept on coming this year, like most vegetable farms in the area, we were a little nervous. Yet, after six years of successful growing in our gardens at Friendship Court, 6th Street, and West Street we knew how to make the best of each season. Thanks to the financial support of the Charlottesville community, the hard work of so many volunteers, and the encouragement of our dedicated leadership team; we not only survived our seventh growing season, we thrived!
We’ve just launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the construction of a passive solar greenhouse and a low energy walk-in cooler. These two much needed updates to our infrastructure will help us grow and share more healthy food, but we need your support to make it happen!
Here’s how you can help:
1. Visit our Kickstarter page:
2. Watch our video and read about our two projects.
3. Click the “Back This Project” button and make a donation!
It’s fast and easy to support UACC, but we only have 20 days to raise $10,000 before our Kickstarter campaign closes on November 11th. We have to raise the whole amount or we don’t get a penny! Help us make the 2014 season our best yet by making a contribution today.
Thanks again for continuing to work with us to grow and share healthy food and cultivate healthy communities!
